🏔️ Old town Srebrenica

The old town of Srebrenik is one of the best-preserved and best-located old towns in the vicinity of Srebrenica.
It is located directly on the eastern elevation above Srebrenica. It dates back to the 12th century, and archaeological research has shown that it was demolished and rebuilt several times. The last time the city was rebuilt after the arrival of the Turkish administration for the needs of the army and logistics.
In 2006, the old town of Srebrenik was declared a national monument of the first category.

🕌Visit to the memorial center

The Srebrenica Memorial Center - Potočari is a memorial complex built in memory of the victims of the genocide against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The center was built in the Potočari settlement near Srebrenica and consists of a memorial and a cemetery. By July 2012, 6,838 victims of the genocide were identified using DNA analysis of the remains of victims from various mass graves, while 6,066 victims were buried in this memorial center.

📍Memorial room - Personal stories

In 2007, a permanent exhibit called "Black Room - Personal Stories" was installed in the Srebrenica Memorial Center in the memorial room, where 20 personal items of victims found in mass graves were exhibited.

The first Memorial gallery in Bosnia and Herzegovina - exhibition place aiming to preserve the memory on Srebrenica tragedy and 8372 persons who tragically lost their lives. Through a wide range of multimedia content - images, maps, audio and video materials, the Gallery aims to offer its visitors the documentary and artistic interpretation of the events that took place during July 1995 in Srebrenica.
